Care Assistant / Support Worker

📍 Location: Various locations
💷 Pay: Competitive rates – paid travel time (where applicable)
⏰ Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible shifts available


About the Role

We are currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Care Assistants / Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes and supported living environments.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in people’s lives while delivering care with dignity, respect, and professionalism.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting

  • Supporting clients with mobility and moving & handling

  • Assisting with medication in line with training and care plans

  • Supporting with meal preparation and nutrition

  • Providing companionship and emotional support

  • Promoting independence and choice

  • Maintaining accurate daily care records

  • Following care plans, risk assessments, and company policies at all times


Experience & Skills Required

  • Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker (paid or voluntary experience considered)

  • Experience supporting elderly clients or individuals with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, dementia, or mental health needs (role dependent)

  • A caring, patient, and compassionate approach

  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Reliable, professional, and flexible


Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

  • Good level of spoken and written English

  • Willingness to undertake mandatory training

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality care


Desirable (but not essential)

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care

  • Previous experience in domiciliary care, supported living, or live-in care

  • Medication administration experience (MAR charts)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (role dependent)
